The doctors at Todays Vision Sugar Land specialize in Scleral Lens fitting. A Scleral Lens is a large contact lens that rests on the sclera and creates a tear-filled vault over the cornea. Scleral lenses are designed to treat a variety of eye conditions, many of which do not respond to other forms of treatment. Sophisticated curves in the design create a protective tear layer between the eye and the lens. This multifunctional tear layer continuously hydrates the eye and protects the eye from contact with the lens and from conditions in your active environment, such as wind, dust, and allergens.

Scleral Contact Lenses

Todays Vision is now offering a new technology, called Corneal Reshaping Therapy (CRT), is a therapeutic program for patients who want to correct their vision without surgery.  Patients wear special contact lenses while sleeping. This therapeutic contact lens gently and safely reshapes the cornea to correct nearsightedness (myopia).  Also referred to as “Corneal Moulding”, this therapy offers a safe, non-invasive, non-surgical procedure that temporarily corrects nearsightedness up to -6.00 diopters and can help correct mild amounts of astigmatism. No Glasses. No Daytime Contacts. No Surgery.

Multi-focal Contact Lenses and IOL's

Todays Vision Sugar Land specializes in the co-management of Laser Eye Surgery (LASIK).  LASIK is a popular surgery used to correct vision in people who are nearsighted, farsighted, or have astigmatism. LASIK involves the use of an Excimer laser to reshape the cornea, the clear front part of the eye, so that light traveling through it is properly focused onto the retina located in the back of the eye.  Ask us for more information about co-management of LASIK and the benefits.

At Todays Vision Sugar Land we specialize in Multi-focal contact lenses.  Our extensive experience with dry eye and hard to fit patients has given us the reputation of excellence in fitting bifocal and multi-focal lenses. We have now added Multi-focal IOLs (intraocular lenses).  This is an exciting new technology for older patients.  These new lenses have a unique design that permits near, intermediate and far distance vision without glasses or contacts.  The multi-focal IOL is implanted directly in the eye and can eliminate the need for cataract surgery while correcting visual errors.  Ask for more information on this exciting new technology.
